Global Perspectives – A tapestry of cultures
Celebrated Global perspectives in Library with Middle school studentsA diverse collection of books was displayed, showcasing various languages, cultures, cuisines, and games from around the world, along with translated works by renowned authors.
As part of an activity, students enthusiastically created a Harmony Quilt, where they shared details about the cities they’ve visited, cuisines they love, their places of birth, and more. Combining these pieces into a quilt resulted in a vibrant and beautiful representation of unity and diversity.
This display and activity inspired students to explore new languages and cultures, fostering curiosity and appreciation for the world’s rich diversity.

Impact of the engagement on students and reflection as a teacher:
The varied display helped students to understand and appreciate diverse culture ,language and cuisines from around the world .Helped students to celebrate diversity . The students were really excited to read different language books play different language games and this helped them to extend their horizons .
