Merging Physics and Product design skills for Innovation- MYP 4- Sheeba Abraham

Objective of the Learning Engagement: To empower students to apply the principles of physics in the product design process, fostering innovative thinking skills by integrating scientific understanding with creative design techniques to develop a product. Details of the Learning Engagement: In the physics class, students explored key concepts such as center of mass and moment, and conducted an investigation into the principle of moments. Building on this foundational knowledge, they applied these physics concepts in a hands-on project by integrating them with product design skills. The task involved creating a mobile structure, where students had to consider the balance and distribution of weight to ensure the structure's stability. This collaborative project allowed them to design and construct a functional, aesthetically pleasing mobile, while deepening their understanding of how physics principles can be applied in real-world design solutions. Impact of the engagement on students...

शारीरिक और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए योग (Yoga for Physical and Mental Health) MYP 3- Hindi- Anju Dikshit

Objective of the Learning Engagement:  Students will understand the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health. Students will practice yoga under the guidance of their peers. Details of the Learning Engagement: In the lesson, the class began with a brief discussion on the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being, introducing yoga as a method to achieve both. A student, who had prepared a PPT, presented the key benefits of yoga, including flexibility, strength, stress relief, and mental clarity, using visuals and simple explanations. The presentation was interactive, with students asking questions. Following this, the same student led a live demonstration of basic yoga poses such as Mountain Pose (Tadasana), Warrior Pose (Virabhadrasana), Tree Pose (Vrikshasana) explaining correct alignment and breathing techniques. Students were encouraged to ask questions and clarify doubts during the demonstration. Impact of the engagement on students and reflection as a teacher:...
