Objective of the Learning Engagement: Understanding elements of realism through realistic paintings Details of the Learning Engagement: The Performing Art Gallery The class is divided in groups of five. We look at realistic paintings from 1800-1900. Carefully observe the quality of them. Try to recreate the paintings in groups and present it. Paintings : Impact of the engagement on students and reflection as a teacher: The exercise not only opened up a conversation on elements of realism but also enabled the learners to look at realism as a movement which connected drama of the everyday life and visual art. While embodying the images, learners asked questions about context, time period, clothing and various other aspects which were portrayed in the painting. -Anannya And Sukriti

This exercise aimed to enhance their mathematical skills, emphasize the application of mathematics in practical situations, and encourage critical thinking, aligning with criteria D - Applying Maths in real-life scenarios. The students exhibited exceptional critical thinking skills during the activity. They applied their knowledge of perpendicular bisectors to various scenarios and justified their solutions by using GeoGebra, creating visual representations to support their arguments.   Objective of the Learning Engagement The objective of the session was to understand the way systems around us work and the nuances of those systems/structures. Details of the Learning Engagement: Teacher-led improvisations. Without revealing the identities of people/characters, teachers present a few situations in which how these systems and structures operate in the world around us are shown.  Meeting for a Marriage Proposal (A boy meets to-be father-in-law) Passport Office (A lady has to get her passport renewed in Tatkal from a passport official) Renting a home (A single woman looking for a home in Delhi meets a potential landlady) Train (A passenger travels in a local train with a bag of food, and police personnel grabs them for the same reason) Students list out 10 problematic things in the vignettes that they see.
